Creating Spaces for Intersubjectivity: A Sustainable Vision for Democratic Citizenship Education

Responding to the multiculturalist critiques of deliberative democratic education, Amy Gutmann and Sigal Ben-Porath suggested a more inclusive version education that emphasizes toleration, public recognition, mutual respect. Despite its benefits possibilities, however, their concept fails embrace poststructuralist ideas regarding education. In pursuit sustainable vision for citizenship this study sought conceptualize hybrid spaces wherein an ontology plurality is woven into Ben-Porath’s idea By proposing alternative way integrate such as intersubjective accounts self-identity human agency current practice authors seek promote continued dialogue on purposes possibilities society.
